Choosing a flake blend is the fun part of an epoxy project — but with hundreds of combinations, it helps to narrow things down with a few simple rules we share with every Orlando customer.

1. Start from your garage’s fixed colors

Look at the three things you won’t be changing: wall paint, cabinetry or storage, and the exterior driveway color. A flake blend with one tone pulled from each ties the whole space together.

2. Light blends hide dust; dark blends hide stains

In Florida, light gray and tan blends show less pollen and dust between cleanings. Darker charcoal blends hide tire marks and oil spots better. Medium multi-tone blends (gray + black + white) are the best all-around compromise — which is why they’re our best sellers.

3. Match the flake size to the look you want

1/4″ flake is the classic, slightly textured showroom look. 1/8″ reads more uniform from a distance. Larger 1″ flake makes a bolder, terrazzo-style statement.

4. Always look at a physical sample in your own light

Colors shift under garage LED lighting versus daylight. We bring physical sample boards to every free estimate so you can see your shortlist on your own floor. You can also explore combinations in our Colors & Finishes page or try our Floor Design Studio.
