Brewery Floors Have Unique Demands — We Know How to Meet Them

A craft brewery or taproom is both a production facility and a customer-facing space. Your floors have to withstand intense cleaning chemicals, constant moisture, thermal shock from hot liquid spills, and the aesthetic expectations of customers who chose to spend their evening in your space.

Standard epoxy won’t cut it. A1 Epoxy Coatings installs food-safe, chemical-resistant flooring systems specifically suited for the brewing and hospitality environment across Central Florida’s growing craft beverage scene.

What Brewery Floors Face

Caustic Cleaning Chemicals

Brewing facilities use aggressive alkaline and acid cleaners (CIP chemicals, caustic soda, peracetic acid) as part of standard sanitation. These chemicals will destroy standard epoxy over time. We specify urethane cement or high-build chemical-resistant epoxy systems that are rated for food and beverage production environments.

Thermal Shock

Hot wort, steam, and boiling water hit floors regularly in production areas. Rapid temperature cycling causes standard epoxy to crack and delaminate — a problem that compounds quickly in a wet environment. Urethane cement systems handle thermal shock significantly better than standard epoxy.

Constant Moisture

Breweries are wet. Hose-downs, condensation, spills, and floor drains mean your coating system needs to be fully sealed, properly sloped to drains, and able to handle standing water without lifting or bubbling.

Taproom Aesthetics

Your taproom floor doesn’t need to look like a factory. We install decorative systems — stained concrete, polished overlays, or flake systems — that create the warm, industrial-chic aesthetic most taprooms aim for, while maintaining the cleanability your health inspector requires.

Recommended Systems by Zone

Health Code and USDA Compliance

We install flooring systems that meet Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) requirements for food service facilities, and we document the products used so you have the compliance paperwork you need for inspections.

Central Florida Brewery Experience

We’ve worked in production breweries, nanobreweries, taprooms, and craft cideries throughout the Orlando metro. We understand the operational constraints — we schedule around production schedules and batch days to minimize disruption.

Contact us for a commercial flooring assessment. We’ll come out, assess your facility, and recommend the right system for each zone of your operation.
